THE MARK

Gye Nyame is an Adinkra symbol of the Akan people of today's Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire. Commonly translated as "Except for God," it expresses the belief that nothing exists beyond the power and presence of God. One of the most widely recognized Adinkra symbols, it represents faith, divine protection, humility, and the acknowledgment of a higher power.
